Ian Wright awarded accolade

Ian Wright CBE, director general of the Food and Drink Federation (FDF), has received an award for his outstanding contribution to public affairs.
The public affairs awards recognise excellence in the industry, this accolade comes just months after he received a CBE for his political and public service.
Commenting on his award, Wright says, “It’s really very humbling to be given this award. I have spent 35 years in public relations and public affairs. To be recognised by my peers for my contribution to the industry over that time is a huge honour.”
Wright joined the FDF in March 2015, and has since been leading the organisation in ensuring government and stakeholders understand the importance of food and drink manufacturing, and support the industry to meet the changing needs of UK consumers in the future.
