Stinking Christmas
British cheese Stinking Bishop has unveiled its first Christmas gift box, containing a 500g Stinking Bishop Cheese in a wooden round and a 50cl bottle of Poireau – a pear spirit made with pressed perry pears.
Stinking Bishop Cheese is washed in perry, giving it its distinctive characteristic flavour and smell. The Poireau spirit is also handmade at Hunts Court Farm, Gloucestershire, UK, the home of Stinking Bishop, and contains only the product of vintage pears which grow there. The spirit is bottled on the farm’s distillery at cask strength of about 20% ABV.
