Dawn Foods unveils new product categories and packaging

As part of its continued growth, bakery supplier Dawn Foods is revitalising its entire product portfolio, categorising products to make it easier for customers to select the Dawn solution for their individual application.

This project will see Dawn’s product portfolio have three distinct product categories or ‘pillars’:

  • Dawn – tried and trusted products that provide consistent quality and performance
  • Dawn Exceptional – premium and category-leading high-performance products
  • Dawn Balance – ‘better for you’ products with no compromise on taste and quality

Packaging for each of the three pillars will have its own distinct colourway, look and design.

Packs will also feature an image of the product, the product type in bold, detail on flavour and benefits, a colour bar to indicate product category, together with a colour coded bottom label. This new visual signposting has been developed to enable customers to not only easily navigate the Dawn portfolio to find the right product for their needs but at operator level, save time searching the storage area. While the external look is different, the quality and consistency of the products within remains unchanged.

By revitalising our portfolio, we aim to make life easier for our customers and enable them to select and use appropriate products to create exceptional bakery items and desserts”.

The changes will be gradual with 3.5kg mixes and crèmes categories transitioning this summer and the whole current portfolio revitalised by the end of 2020.
