Grenade makes world’s largest protein bar

Sports nutrition brand Grenade has officially become the Record Holder for the ‘World’s Largest Protein Bar’ with its Carb Killa Cookie Dough protein bar, weighing in at a hefty 239kg.

Making up to a total of 3,716 regular sized Cookie Dough Carb Killa bars and measuring 1.8m long and 62.5cm wide, Grenade’s super-sized bar is completely edible, as requested by the Guinness World Records guidelines.

Alan Barratt, CEO and co-founder of Grenade, commented: “Have you ever been eating your Carb Killa bar and thought to yourself ‘this simply isn’t big enough’? Well, today is your lucky day.

“It’s only right, in true Grenade style, we go big for our Carb Killa 5th Anniversary – and our World’s Largest Protein Bar has done just that. Providing the same great taste, it truly is the real deal.”

Produced by Hearthside Foods, located in Leerdam, Netherlands, Grenade’s creation uses all the traditional ingredients found in a commercially available Carb Killa bar and comes complete triple-layered and chocolate coated.

Guinness World Records adjudicator, Paulina Sapinska, comments: “Grenade has certainly raised the bar with this giant protein snack achievement.

“Some of my favourite record categories are big food as they have to be edible – so to get the same great taste as the original product but to produce it on this massive scale is really challenging. Grenade has exceeded our expectations.”
