A rose by any other name
The European Commission has dropping proposed legislative amendments that would have allowed rose to be produced by blending red and white table wines.
Mariann Fischer Boel, European agriculture and rural development commissioner, says that proposals to drop laws preventing blending red and white wines first announced back in 2008, will not be adopted following consultation with producers.
