Top tile and resin flooring for Liverpool’s Blends ingredients business

Kemtile has worked with Blends in Liverpool to provide new floors for its production and packing areas.

The UK’s leading specifier and installer of hygienic flooring and specialist drainage systems for manufacturing and processing industries helped Blends, a Merseyside manufacturer specialising in syrups, colours and ingredients, who was in need of aesthetically superior flooring.

Blends sought assistance from Kemtile, reaching out to the install specialists after learning about previous success on neighbouring projects.

Specifically, Blends required new tiling for the factory canning line that would illuminate the space without compromising on budget. Kemtile worked to a tight deadline to renovate the production area with tiles whilst the packing space – less visible to visitors – was filled with resin.

Kemtile turned around the project – from initial contact to completion – in as little as six weeks, producing a finished, multi-faceted solution of tile and resin to a HACCP accreditation standard.

Michael Rowark, operations director at Blends said: “We had seen some of Kemtile’s excellent floor work previously and learned they were based locally – so we decided to bring them in.

“We are always investing to achieve the highest customer service and excellent quality products and we believe Kemtile to be a company that shares this vision themselves.

“Very quickly it became apparent Kemtile could meet the demands of the job – which were quite complex – and the team successfully turned it around very quickly. We’re absolutely delighted with the results.”

Wayne Briers, contracts manager at Kemtile added: “This project was challenging because of the tight time-frame, but we worked effectively to complete the flooring solution that was right for Blends.

“The people involved on the client side such as Michael, Geoff and Francesca were brilliant to work with.”
