lunch! 2023: Coveris to unveil fresh, sustainable packaging

Coveris plans to showcase its newest sustainable packaging solutions at lunch! 2023, the definitive event for the food-to-go industry, taking place on Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th September 2023 at ExCeL London.

Launching at lunch! 2023, Coveris’ BarrierFresh MAP skillet is the latest addition to the manufacturer’s leading food-on-the-move range. Coveris’ longest shelf-life sandwich skillet, BarrierFresh MAP skillets keep sandwiches fresher for longer by controlling pack atmosphere, supporting food waste reduction targets. Coveris’ BarrierFresh MAP skillets deliver branding opportunities and shelf-presentation while robustly protecting products.

Coveris will also be presenting its eco-efficient food service solutions including EnviroPac Bagasse, a renewable and sustainably sourced alternative to EPS packaging.

Paul Robertson, Coveris’ food-on-the-move sales director commented: “As we approach the single-use plastics ban, Coveris is proud to offer a diverse range of sustainable solutions that align with our No Waste Vision”.

Other high-performance packaging solutions such as Coveris’ dual-ovenable, hot-hold HEAT range will also be on display to those visiting the lunch! show.

“Expertly crafted to deliver protection, convenience and quality, Coveris’ HEAT range meets consumer demands for a wider choice of hot food-to-go products and provides the perfect grab-and-go solution,” added Paul.

Coveris’ stand will also showcase a range of award-winning Notpla coated food cartons, developed by Notpla.

Made from seaweed and plant extracts, Notpla’s award-winning barrier coating is applied to sustainably sourced board to create a food-safe barrier function and naturally breaks down in 4-6 weeks at end of life.
