Campden BRI relaunches on-site event offering

Campden BRI is relaunching on-site events with three exciting 2023 topics after a scaled-back, hybrid-remote approach to events since the pandemic.

Campden BRI has long been the facilitator of networking at its Chipping Campden site, alongside its extensive training offering, through a variety of events, conferences and seminars.

Bertrand Emond, Campden BRI membership ambassador and professional development & culture excellence lead said: “It’s fantastic to be able to support our members in this way by providing such valuable networking opportunities. We are so excited to invite members back onto site in this way, and see the benefits of the excellent programmes that we have put together for them.”

Scheduled events are:

19th October 2023, Partnerships and accessing funding

The first event will focus on how to access funding for food and drink industry innovations and research. Through funding body and industry speakers, the event will cover an overview of the UK and EU funding landscape and how the industry can engage with research, how to leverage what’s available from Innovate UK, some insightful case studies from Campden BRI, and hearing directly from businesses whose projects have benefitted from funding.

14th November 2023, Optimising food allergen management – through risk management and risk communication

This event will focus on risk management and risk communication to ensure effective process controls are in place for safe food and will include expert speakers who will cover the latest developments regarding managing food allergens. In particular, we will be examining sharing concepts and newer techniques used in other industries to visualise and better communicate risk, provision of information throughout the supply chain and developments around precautionary allergen labelling and information.

23th November 2023, Smart manufacturing – maximising the opportunities from Industry 4.0

Industry 4.0 digital solutions can provide more accurate process control, help improve efficiency and output, and prevent and eliminate errors. Through presentations from Campden BRI and special guest speakers, this event programme will cover the challenges that Industry 4.0 solutions can address, approaches to implementing these solutions, and addressing common barriers – so that food and drink business operators can meet the changing demands and conditions in a food factory to produce even better products.

At all of the events, there will be opportunities for networking, tours of the Chipping Campden site, and talking with specialists about specific queries.
