For the first time at Fachpack, the Herma eco is shown integrated into a complete labelling machine — featured in the redesigned 652C (pictured) for highly efficient top and bottom labelling.

High performance at a remarkably competitive price – this is what the Herma eco label applicator will demonstrate for the first time as part of a labelling machine at Fachpack 2025 (Hall 3C, Stand322).

Integrated into the newly designed 652C model, it enables highly efficient top and bottom labelling. Despite its premium equipment, the Herma eco combines efficiency with a level of mechanical and build quality.

The system will be demonstrated in conjunction with a Köra-Packmat friction feeder, which separates products before labelling them on both sides. Alternatively, it can be configured to label just one surface.

The system’s precision is thanks to the Herma eco’s master encoder function, which ensures continuous synchronisation with the conveyor speed. This delivers accurate labelling — even at up to 30 metres per minute and for labels up to 160 millimetres wide. The 652C is modular and can be tailored to specific needs. Optional integration of the Herma 500 thermal transfer printer or a hot-foil unit enables variable data printing on both sides. Its modular design also ensures quick delivery times.

Printing without consumables, sealing with intelligence Herma’s 362E double-sided labelling machine demonstrates how up to 200 products per minute can be labelled and printed with variable data — completely without consumables.

In combination with a UV laser from Domino and Herma’s specialised film labels, the printed image is created by a colour shift within the label material itself — without any contact, ink, or transfer ribbon. The result is a smudge-proof, scratch-resistant, and chemically stable print that withstands alcohol, grease, and disinfectants.

Another highlight: the 752C labelling machine will showcase an application by simultaneously sealing and labelling packaging — demonstrated live at the trade fair on clamshell containers filled with popcorn. The system illustrates how labels can serve multiple functions — an increasingly important trend, particularly in the context of sustainable packaging.

The Herma 500 accommodates all label widths, installation scenarios, and production speeds — while maintaining consistent operation and structure. This simplifies integration, maintenance, and training, and ensures rapid availability. The labelling line also includes solutions tailored to logistics.

Herma’s Print & Apply systems can be flexibly integrated into existing production lines. Their print modules, applying units, and winders can be freely positioned for maximum integration flexibility. These systems are based on the
3/5 same modular components used in Herma’s high-performance systems —ensuring reliable operation and fast changeovers for different products or production lines.

Herma’s presence at Fachpack is rounded out by two semi-automatic labelling machines. They offer perfect support for smaller batch sizes, the 414 for top labelling and the 211 for wrap-around labelling of cylindrically shaped products.
