Flanquart releases new clean label granola base targeting food manufacturers

Flanquart, the family-owned food ingredient company based in Annezin (Pas-de-Calais), has announced the launch of its new Clean Label Granola Base, an innovation aimed squarely at industrial manufacturers, formulators, caterers, and agro-food brands seeking transparent and high-performance ingredients.
The product is designed not as a finished consumer good, but as a flexible functional base for a multitude of applications. The company’s focus on clean label principles means the formula is deliberately simple, composed only of seeds, salt, puffed rice, and natural flavour, making it an easy addition to products requiring short, consumer-friendly ingredient lists.
Gatien Dusaussoy, Flanquart’s director, explained the strategy behind the launch. “We designed a technical, crispy, and natural base, intended to be modulated according to each client’s specific needs. The goal is to offer a granola that is as simple as it is high-performing,” he stated. The base features a 100% vegetable structure and is entirely free of additives, delivering a natural and sustained crispness ideal for toppings, inclusions, or innovative R&D uses.
Beyond its clean formulation, the new base is also distinguished by a superior nutritional profile. Per 100 grams, it is notably rich in protein, containing approximately 19 grams, alongside 13 grams of fibre and approximately 8% Omega-3s. These metrics position it strongly for brands developing health snacking, functional food, and nutrition-focused products.
Currently, the company is offering a savoury rosemary version for immediate industrial order, with minimum quantities starting at 500 kg and a shelf life of up to 12 months.
Looking ahead, Flanquart is actively developing a complementary sweet clean label base. This future version will be naturally sweetened using alternatives like honey or agave syrup, specifically omitting refined sugars to appeal to the growing market for balanced, wellness-oriented snacks.
Dusaussoy confirmed, “The objective is to propose an equilibrated, sugar-refined-free sweet version for health snacking and wellness nutrition brands.”
