Functional beverage specialist VitClear has announced a major technical breakthrough with the launch of Active Health Lemon and Lime, marking the arrival of the UK’s first-ever stable creatine soda.

Historically, incorporating creatine into carbonated or heat-pasteurised liquids was deemed “impossible” by many in the trade due to poor solubility, excessive frothing, and rapid degradation (instability).

VitClear’s new formulation successfully maintains the efficacy and taste of the potent nootropic in a convenient, low-sugar canned format, offering a refreshing alternative to traditional powders and milky shakes.

Designed for gym-goers and athletes who want to avoid the “jitters” and sleep disruption associated with high-caffeine energy drinks, Active Health focuses on “quick burst” energy and cognitive support.

Key ingredients in the Active Health Lemon and Lime stack include:

  • Creatine: an evidence-based nootropic for strength and neuroprotection.
  • Ashwagandha & L-theanine: adaptogens included to manage cortisol (stress) and enhance mental focus.
  • BCAAs & protein: essential amino acids and building blocks for muscle repair and recovery.
  • L-carnitine & taurine: targeted at improving muscle oxygen supply and maintaining electrolyte balance.
  • Full spectrum micronutrients: 100% RDA of water-based vitamins and over 400mg of comprehensive electrolytes.

The VitClear range was developed by founder Ralph Burrows, a former firefighter and rugby player who sought a performance drink capable of sustaining high-level activity without the crash.

The brand’s rapid ascent in the active health space is already being fuelled by high-profile partnerships, including undefeated professional boxer Alireza “Razor Ali” Ghadiri and world-champion racing driver Kaï Rillaerts. The brand also recently served as the official sponsor of the British Youth & Open National Waterski Championships.

As highlighted in recent industry reports, consumers are increasingly cutting back on essential spending but remain willing to invest in health-optimising products. By combining the hydration of a soda with the “bio-hacking” benefits of a nootropic stack, VitClear is positioning itself at the intersection of the £5bn UK soft drinks market and the surging sports nutrition sector.

“Active Health proves that although creating a creatine-containing soda is challenging, it is not impossible,” says the brand. “It is the perfect soda to accompany a workout without affecting sleep.”
