pladis is expanding its savoury snacking portfolio with the launch of two new variants in the Jacob’s TUC Sandwich range, designed to tap into demand for flavour-led snacks that deliver quick hunger satisfaction.

The new TUC Sandwich Sweet Chilli & Sour Cream Flavour and TUC Sandwich Cream Cheese & Chive Flavour join the existing TUC Sandwich Cheese Flavour, extending the range with two popular flavour combinations aimed at mainstream savoury snack consumers.

According to the manufacturer, the Sweet Chilli & Sour Cream variant combines the brand’s signature crunchy TUC crackers with a filling that blends sweet chilli heat with tangy sour cream notes. Meanwhile, the Cream Cheese & Chive option pairs a creamy cheese-style filling with the mild savoury flavour of chives.

Scott Landay, senior brand manager at pladis UK & Ireland, said: “Our new TUC Sandwich Sweet Chilli & Sour Cream flavour brings together the familiar savoury crunch of TUC crackers with a vibrant blend of sweet chilli heat and smooth tangy sour cream flavour, while TUC Sandwich Cream Cheese & Chive pairs rich, creamy cream cheese flavour with the mild, savoury notes of chive — all sandwiched between two signature crunchy TUC crackers.”

He added: “We know that snackers want big flavour and instant satisfaction, and that’s what these new TUC Sandwich additions deliver. They dial up the TUC experience with bold, punchy taste and creamy fillings that ensure every bite is full of crunch and flavour.

“As the UK’s only branded savoury sandwich biscuit, and already one of the top 10 products in the category, TUC Sandwich is uniquely placed to meet the growing demand for delicious snacks that bust hunger fast.”

The two new flavours will begin rolling out across grocery, convenience and wholesale channels from the week commencing 16 March.

The launch reflects continued innovation within the savoury biscuits and crackers segment, where manufacturers are increasingly combining texture-driven formats with flavour-forward fillings to target on-the-go snacking occasions and deliver stronger shelf standout.
