Global closure manufacturer United Caps has introduced the new 27 H-PAK, a development that promises to unlock greater flexibility for drinks brands operating within the carton packaging segment.

Historically, manufacturers in this space have been limited to a restricted set of closure options, leaving them with few alternatives for their established packaging systems.

The launch of the 27 H-PAK changes this dynamic by functioning as a practical, alternative closure that seamlessly integrates into existing production lines.

For drinks manufacturers, this means they can adopt a new cap without the burden of complex system overhauls. The closure features a “plug n’ place” approach that supports rapid implementation, helping brands scale their operations, source more agilely, and maintain line efficiency without introducing unwanted operational complexity.

In terms of functional design, the 27 H-PAK brings user-friendly enhancements to consumer packaging. The cap boasts a robust hinge design and a smooth opening mechanism with an opening angle of up to 150 degrees, ensuring stable performance from the factory floor to the kitchen table.

Critically for brands navigating corporate sustainability targets, the new closure is highly versatile. It is engineered to perform reliably with both standard and aluminium-free carton complexes, enabling drinks manufacturers to smoothly transition into eco-friendly packaging formats.

“In many carton packaging environments, manufacturers have had to work within a very limited set of closure options,” stated Benoît Henckes, CEO of United Caps. “With 27 H-PAK, we are introducing a new level of flexibility that allows customers to move forward without having to rethink their entire production setup. That balance between continuity and progress is becoming increasingly important across the industry.”
