Rockwell Partnership accelerates Liquats Vegetals’ digital transformation

Rockwell Automation is supporting a major digital transformation programme at Liquats Vegetals, helping the Spanish plant‑based beverage producer strengthen process visibility, improve operational consistency and gain clearer insight into energy use across its manufacturing sites.
Liquats Vegetals — a key supplier to major Spanish retailers, foodservice operators and international partners — is facing rising production complexity as demand for plant‑based beverages grows. With more formulations, more frequent changeovers and tighter sustainability expectations, the company is investing in digital tools that give teams a unified, real‑time view of operations.
Rockwell Automation is providing a suite of technologies designed to help Liquats Vegetals understand how production performance, energy consumption and resource use interact across processing and packaging lines. The initiative aims to support more informed decision‑making, reduce variability and strengthen sustainability performance.
Greater process consistency
Liquats is deploying Rockwell’s PlantPAx distributed control system, enabling more flexible process control across multiple recipes and frequent product changeovers. For producers, this means more stable quality and fewer deviations in high‑variability environments.
Real‑time energy transparency
Using FactoryTalk Energy Manager, Liquats can now monitor energy and utility consumption in real time. This helps operations teams detect anomalies, understand usage patterns and take action to improve efficiency — a growing priority as energy costs and sustainability pressures rise.
Unified operational and sustainability data
Rockwell’s DataMosaix industrial DataOps platform consolidates production, energy and sustainability data into a single view. This supports traceability, performance analysis and continuous improvement across the plant.
Better decision‑making on the factory floor
By combining operational and energy data, Liquats can make faster, more informed decisions that balance efficiency, cost and product integrity — a model other food and drink producers can follow as they modernise their own operations.
Jose Paredes, country director for Spain at Rockwell Automation, said: “Manufacturers in Spain are operating in environments where production flexibility, data visibility and efficient use of resources are becoming essential.”
Tasio Corachán Masriera, director of processes and continuous improvement at Liquats Vegetals, added: “Digital transformation of key areas of the plant helps us better understand process variability, energy consumption and operating costs, enabling more informed decisions and continuous improvement.”
