Plant‑based recipe and ready‑meal subscription service Grubby has partnered with gut‑health science company Zoe to launch a limited‑edition collection of plant‑powered dishes designed to boost gut health and inspire more diverse eating habits across the UK.
Running from 25 June to 8 July, Grubby subscribers can choose from a curated selection of fibre‑rich, plant‑diverse meals reviewed and approved by Dr Federica Amati, Zoe’s head nutritionist, alongside the wider Zoe nutrition science team. Each dish has been scored against Zoe’s nutritional criteria and awarded a Zoe‑approved stamp, appearing across grubby.co.uk and all campaign materials.
Timed to celebrate the publication of Dr Amati’s new book, The Appetite Reset: How to Eat, Drink and Thrive Before, During and After GLP‑1s, the collaboration blends Grubby’s chef‑developed, globally inspired flavours with Zoe’s world‑leading nutrition science. The campaign spans co‑branded packaging, email, social media and PR.
The first 1,250 meal boxes will also include a sample of Zoe’s Daily30 — a whole‑plant gut health supplement formulated to increase fibre and plant diversity intake. Each serving contains 4g of fibre and more than 30 different plant ingredients, from vegetables and legumes to nuts, seeds, berries, mushrooms and seaweed. Zoe’s clinical trial shows Daily30 supports gut health, improves digestion and increases energy.
The science behind the partnership
In The Appetite Reset, Dr Amati argues that nourishing the gut microbiome — not restricting food — is the most effective way to regulate appetite, support metabolic health and feel better within days. Fibre, plant diversity and quality protein are central to this approach.
“The challenge has never been the science,” says Dr Amati. “It has been making those foods accessible and exciting to eat, week after week. That is exactly what Grubby and Daily30 do, with flavour, texture and whole‑food ingredients.”
Zoe’s research, drawn from more than 300,000 participants, shows that eating 30 different plants a week is one of the most powerful levers for improving gut microbiome health. Yet only 5% of UK adults meet the recommended 30g of fibre per day, with average intake sitting at just 19g.
A single Zoe‑approved Grubby meal delivers up to 23g of fibre, with standout dishes such as the Hearty Chilli Bean Sweet Potato Stew offering 11 plant points, and the Crispy Curried Mango Chickpea Traybake topping out at 13.5 plant points.
Grubby founder Martin Holden‑White says the partnership brings together flavour and science in a way that empowers consumers:
“Working alongside Zoe, Professor Tim Spector and Dr Amati has allowed us to back up our dishes with real substance — delivering incredibly flavourful, nutrient‑packed meals powered by cutting‑edge gut health science.”
Dr Amati adds: “What I love about Grubby is that they lead with flavour and let the nutrition be the clever bonus. That is the most effective way to get more people eating more plants, more often.”
