Euromilk, one of Slovakia’s leading dairy producers, has expanded its long-running partnership with SIG through the installation of a new SIG Slimline 12 Aseptic filling machine, a move designed to increase capacity, enhance flexibility and strengthen its position in the domestic market.

The new system allows Euromilk to fill up to 12,000 carton packs per hour across three different volumes – 500ml, 750ml and 1,000ml – on a single machine. Changeovers between sizes take less than 15 minutes, achieved by switching sleeves, adjusting the volume and updating parameters on the HMI. The technology is built on SIG’s sleeve-based filling and ultrasonic sealing platform, which enables rapid format changes without compromising speed.

Euromilk says the investment supports rising demand for its portfolio of white and flavoured milks, cream and plant-based beverages. It also provides the agility needed to introduce new products such as oat milk and Barista milk, reflecting evolving consumer tastes in the region.

Sustainability was a key factor in the decision. The Slimline 12 Aseptic can run both standard materials and SIG’s latest sustainable packaging innovations, including SIG Terra Alu-free and SIG Terra forest-based polymers. Euromilk already uses these materials, which reduce reliance on aluminium and incorporate polymers linked to renewable forest sources via an ISCC PLUS-certified mass-balance system.

Tibor Balogh, managing director of Euromilk, said the partnership with SIG has helped the company double production volumes over the past 25 years. He added that the new machine will allow Euromilk to maintain its commitment to traditional recipes, high product quality and sustainability while meeting consumer expectations.

SIG said the installation demonstrates how efficiency and sustainability can advance together. According to Sarka Kaplanova, managing director & head of sales Czech Republic and Slovakia at SIG, the flexibility of the Slimline 12 Aseptic gives Euromilk “exactly what is needed to set the pace in the Eastern European food and beverage market.”
