From 28 September to 2 October 2026, ULMA Packaging will once again welcome customers and industry professionals to its ULMA Packaging Open Week in Memmingen, Bavaria, the company’s main location serving the German and Austrian markets.

During the five-day in-house exhibition, the packaging specialist will showcase its complete range of packaging machinery in live operation, offering visitors the opportunity to experience the latest technologies first-hand and engage directly with ULMA Packaging experts.

A key highlight of the event is the opportunity for companies to test their own products on ULMA Packaging machinery under real-life conditions. Visitors can send their product samples to ULMA Packaging in advance or bring them along to the event. The samples will then be packaged live on the relevant packaging equipment during the visit. This enables companies to assess packaging results directly on site, compare different packaging concepts and work together with ULMA Packaging’s application engineers to develop the most suitable solution for their specific requirements.

“The best packaging solution is developed through practical testing. That is why we give our customers the opportunity to test their own products under real-life conditions on our machines. This provides reliable results and enables them to make investment decisions based on a sound and well-founded assessment,” says Thomas Blümel, managing director of ULMA Packaging.

The ULMA Packaging Open Week will focus on practical live demonstrations of modern packaging technologies. Visitors will be able to see the machines in operation and gain insights into a wide range of packaging processes – from flow packing and traysealing to thermoforming and vertical form-fill-seal applications.

One of the highlights is the FM 400 horizontal form-fill-seal machine in hygienic washdown design. In addition to live production demonstrations, the machine will also be shown during the cleaning process in a specially equipped WashBox. Its washable design, corrosion-resistant materials and watertight components enable efficient cleaning while meeting the highest hygiene standards. This makes the machine particularly suitable for applications requiring intensive cleaning cycles.

ULMA Packaging will also showcase a range of other packaging solutions, including the TFS 200 S and TFS 500 thermoforming machines; the TSB 300, TSA 680 P and TSA 680 S traysealers; the VTC 840 vertical form-fill-seal machine featuring Tight-Bag™ technology; and the Sienna LS BI, FR 200, FM 305 and FM 300 horizontal form-fill-seal machines with TR 300 shrink tunnel. Visitors will also have the opportunity to receive individual packaging advice on key topics such as product protection, cost efficiency and sustainable packaging solutions.

Interested companies are encouraged to register their visit in advance to ensure sufficient time can be allocated for individual packaging trials and personal consultations with ULMA Packaging experts.
