Natural salt-enhancement from LycoRed

LycoRed has unveiled Sante – a natural salt enhancement ingredient made from its patented, natural tomato concentrate.

“For centuries chefs and food technologists have added tomatoes to a wide variety of foods to enhance and improve flavour profiles,” says LycoRed’s food applications manager Ehud Zach. “Our food scientists succeeded in separating out and concentrating all the taste enhancing components which exist naturally in the tomato, liberating a natural flavour enhancer suitable for a wide range of applications. In many cases, Sante can be used to enhance flavour and thereby reduce the amount of salt added to a product.”
