Warehousing and logistics software provider Indigo Software has been awarded a contract by brewer Greene King to implement Indigo WMS with voice picking across its network of UK distribution centres.

The investment is regarded as essential to enable larger volumes of product to be securely moved around the business and onto customers as efficiently as possible. The project to implement Indigo WMS will ensure better use of Greene King’s warehousing network and is expected to deliver a tangible return on investment across the supply chain.

As well as providing extensive warehouse management and traceability functionality, Indigo also offers voice directed picking, the ability to handle multiple warehouses and movement between sites, plus direct integration with Greene King’s existing ERP solution.

Greene King’s critical success factors will see key supply chain improvement objectives met, including the reduction of wastage through better stock control, shelf life management and overall stock accuracy across the business.
