NUTRA NEWS: Vitiva launches high purity lutein ester

Vitiva of Slovenia, launches VitaLutS, a high-purity lutein ester extracted from marigold flowers. VitaLutS is a highly stable, natural, non-GMO, free-flowing powder enhanced with zeaxanthin and cryptoxanthin esters.

Vitiva will market the new product to the American and European dietary supplement manufacturing markets.

Many dietary supplement manufacturers face difficult obstacles encapsulating lutein into smaller tablets and capsules. The concentrated purity of VitaLutS allows manufacturers to create reduced tablet and capsule sizes.

“Our lutein ester is available in a wide range of purities up to 60%; it has much higher purity than other marigold extracts currently in the market, and allows formulators to use smaller amounts of the ingredient to reach the required dosages, explains Ohad Cohen, CEO of Vitiva.
