pladis is adding to its indulgent snacking range, Signature, with the launch of McVitie’s Signature Dark Chocolate Caramel Rounds.
McVitie’s Signature Dark Chocolate Caramel Rounds – rich, gooey caramel on a crunchy biscuit covered in thick dark chocolate – offer a luxurious, multi-textural snacking experience and further extends the McVitie’s Signature range, which was created to help retailers to make the most of the huge growth opportunity in afternoon and evening snacking.
“This launch builds on the success of the Signature range which includes Milk Chocolate Caramel Rounds and Chocolate Cream Swirls – where we’ve hit 9% penetration (Kantar 52 w/e 15.06.25) since last year,” explains Alice Jamieson, senior brand manager, pladis UK&I.
“Signature Milk Chocolate Caramel Rounds has a purchase repeat rate of 34% (Kantar 52 w/e 15.06.25) – the highest performing in the range – and is responsible for 50% of total McVitie’s Signature sales. We also know that dark chocolate is growing by +10% per year (Kantar 52 w/e 15.06.25), and it is the third most popular flavour in premium treats (Kantar 52 w/e 15.06.25).
“As well as tasting great, Dark Chocolate Caramel Rounds also tick the boxes when it comes to looking tempting and delivering multi-textures including chocolate – everything needed to help drive growth for Sweet Biscuits during this occasion by making sure they are seen as an evening snacking essential.
