Royal Swinkels has unveiled the latest chapter in its long-running 8.6 Tattoo Limited Edition campaign, partnering once again with Canpack to bring tattoo-inspired artistry to life on the iconic 8.6 Original 50cl can.

The 2025 edition showcases the synergy between bold creative vision and advanced packaging technology, realised through Canpack’s award-winning Quadromix printing process and premium Matt finishes.

Since its debut in 2016, the 8.6 Tattoo Limited Edition has transformed the 8.6 Original can into a platform for creative expression, each year introducing four unique designs in a single production run.

For 2025, renowned tattoo artist Dodie has created illustrations that capture the intensity and expressive character of the brand. Canpack’s premium Matt finish enhances the depth and detail of the artwork, ensuring strong shelf impact and reinforcing 8.6’s distinctive identity.

“The execution is truly a reflection of the collaboration between Royal Swinkels and Canpack, with passion, creativity and precision technology bringing the whole thing to life in a vibrant and distinctive package,” said Afel Amberber, global brand manager at Royal Swinkels.

Canpack’s role extends beyond production, ensuring that every detail of the artwork is faithfully translated onto the can. Quadromix technology enables design diversity at scale, while advanced finishing options deliver a premium consumer experience. The campaign has consistently earned industry recognition, including Metal Pack of the Year: High Volume Food & Beverage at the UK Packaging Awards 2025 and earlier accolades at the World Beverage Innovation Awards 2021.

“Our long-standing relationship with Royal Swinkels is built on mutual trust and ambition. While the designs are Swinkels’ creation, our role is to make them shine, using innovative technologies like Quadromix to turn bold ideas into award-winning packaging,” said Paweł Kawa, graphics innovation manager at Canpack.
