British aperitif house Botivo is stepping into bold new territory with a limited‑edition, aphrodisiac‑inspired botanical aperitif created in partnership with luxury pleasure brand Coco de Mer.
Launching as part of Coco de Mer’s 25th anniversary celebrations, the collaboration brings together two British craft houses united by a shared belief in the pleasure of what is carefully made, thoughtfully sourced and artfully designed.
Rooted in a mutual love of playful artisanalness, the partnership positions pleasure itself as a craft: layered, intentional and best savoured slowly.
It marks a first for the non‑alcoholic drinks category, blending fashion with luxury food and drink in a way that is both culturally fluent and knowingly humorous.
Created by Botivo founder Sam Paget Steavenson in collaboration with Coco de Mer, the aperitif layers juicy cherry, lip‑tingling chilli, velvety cacao and warming ginseng into Botivo’s signature botanical base. The result is a drink designed to be served long with soda over ice and a cherry garnish, or used to elevate alcoholic cocktails.
Only 1,000 bottles have been produced, positioned as collectible cultural objects. The label features artwork by Rozalina Burkova, who reimagines Botivo’s illustrated characters through Coco de Mer’s sensual lens.
Launching on 15 April, the collaboration forms part of Coco de Mer’s 25‑year celebration of modern pleasure, creativity and craftsmanship. Bottles will be available at botivodrinks.com and the Coco de Mer flagship store in London, priced at £34.
The partnership also reflects a wider cultural shift, with fashion and food increasingly intersecting to dissolve boundaries between taste, design and desire. For Botivo, Coco de Mer is a natural counterpart: two British brands aligned in craft, storytelling and a pleasure‑first philosophy.
Imme Ermgassen, co‑founder of Botivo, said: “After collabing with Ottolenghi we wanted to surprise people by stepping somewhere even more playful and unexpected. Fashion and food & drink are increasingly colliding in brilliant, creative ways, and Coco de Mer felt like the perfect partner — a brand that shares our love of British craft and a pleasure‑first philosophy. Together, we wanted to create something a little disruptive: a collaboration that brings the worlds of pleasure and drinks together with humour, creativity and storytelling at its heart.”
Lucy Litwack, owner & CEO of Coco de Mer, added: “Designing exciting sensory experiences is at the heart of what we do, so partnerships like this one are a true joy. The collaboration with Botivo celebrates a wonderful fusion of creativity, craft and passion — and we’re thrilled to bring this to life together. As we mark 25 years of pioneering pleasure, this aperitivo feels like the perfect way to honour the milestone — a sensory delight that captures our spirit of curiosity, indulgence and celebration.”
