High‑protein challenger brand The Gym Kitchen is expanding beyond its ready‑meal heartland with the launch of a new Ready‑To‑Eat Meats range in Tesco.

The chilled four‑SKU line has been developed to tap into growing demand for convenient, flavour‑led protein that can be eaten straight from the pack or used to build quick, nutritious meals.

Landing in store this month, the range features Tikka Shredded Chicken, BBQ Shredded Chicken, Hot Honey Ham and Chicken & Chorizo Meatballs, each delivering up to 36g of protein per serving. The products are designed to offer shoppers an instant protein boost without additional prep, whether used as a topper for salads, sandwiches and wraps or eaten as a standalone snack.

The launch marks a significant step in The Gym Kitchen’s strategy to broaden its presence across multiple categories, giving shoppers more ways to incorporate high‑protein choices into everyday eating. As consumers increasingly build meals around protein rather than traditional formats, the brand sees strong potential for ready‑to‑eat meats to drive incremental growth.

Founder Segun Akinwoleola said the move reflects evolving eating habits and the brand’s ambition to lead in functional, healthy convenience. “We are incredibly excited about The Gym Kitchen entering yet another new category and usage occasion. The versatility of our new Ready‑To‑Eat Meats range supports evolving modern eating habits, where shoppers are increasingly building meals around protein rather than traditional meal formats – it’s the future of food and we are leading the charge in the functional healthy eating space.”

The launch will sit within Tesco’s chilled fixture, offering a clear trade‑up opportunity for shoppers seeking flavour, convenience and high protein in one format.
