Bio&Me launches co-branded Bowel Cancer UK packs

Award-winning gut health brand Bio&Me, founded by The Gut Health Doctor, Dr Megan Rossi, PhD, RD, has unveiled the first co-branded products as part of its long-term partnership with Bowel Cancer UK, with two new launches set to land over the coming months.
The new Bio&Me x Bowel Cancer Apple & Cinnamon Granola and Fibre+Protein Apple & Cinnamon Bars are designed to help consumers up their fibre intake, each containing 10g and 8g of fibre per serving respectively. Every co-branded pack sold will generate a donation to Bowel Cancer UK, helping fund the charity’s vital work supporting patients and their families, campaigning for earlier diagnosis, and improving bowel cancer survival rates.
The launches mark the next phase of the partnership, which aims to raise £100,000 in its first year, while also educating consumers about the role fibre can play in supporting bowel health and reducing the risk of bowel cancer. Research published in the British Medical Journal showed that an additional 10g of daily fibre consumed is associated with a 10% reduction in bowel cancer risk.
The collaboration is rooted in co-founder and world-leading gut health expert, Dr Megan Rossi’s personal connection to the cause, having lost her grandmother to bowel cancer in 2009. It was this experience that inspired her PhD in gut health and to dedicate her career to bringing gut health into the mainstream.
The two new products have been specially designed by Dr Megan Rossi to make it easier for consumers to meet their daily fibre goals.
The Bio&Me x Bowel Cancer UK Apple & Cinnamon Granola (£3.95/360g pack) is Bio&Me’s highest-fibre granola to date, and will be available via Holland & Barrett (online), Morrisons, Ocado, and bioandme.co.uk from 30th September, with further retail listings to follow later this autumn, and additional launches too. Every pack sold will donate 10p to Bowel Cancer UK. The ‘Good For Your Gut’ EFSA-approved granola is packed with a nourishing mix of nuts, seeds, sweet apple and warming cinnamon, containing 14 different plant-based whole foods, and giving 10g of fibre per serving.
The new Bio&Me x Bowel Cancer UK Apple & Cinnamon Fibre+Protein Bars (£3.35/ 3x40g bar multipack) will also be available later this autumn, with stockists TBA. Every multipack donates 5p to Bowel Cancer UK. The ‘Good For Your Gut’ all-natural, gluten free bars contain 10 different plant-based whole foods including wholegrain oats, dates, apple, cinnamon, and mixed seeds, with no added sugar or palm oil. The bars are both high in fibre (8g per bar) and high in protein (9g per bar), allowing consumers to hit both their fibre and protein targets. Dr Megan’s PhD research showed that fibre helps balance protein fermentation in the gut, supporting a healthier microbiome.
Dr Megan Rossi, Bio&Me co-founder, said: “Seeing our partnership with Bowel Cancer UK come to life on pack is incredibly meaningful: every pack sold has the potential to make a real difference. Studies indicate that 54% of bowel cancer cases are preventable, and that around 28% of cases in the UK are linked to eating too little fibre. We want to help even more people understand the connection between fibre and bowel cancer risk. Starting the day with a high-fibre breakfast is a simple but powerful way to build more fibre into your daily routine.”
Jon Walsh, Bio&Me CEO and co-founder, added: “Bio&Me is all about making positive health choices easier and more accessible for consumers. These new co-branded packs are an important extension of that. As Bio&Me continues to grow, we’re proud to use our scale not only to support category growth but also to raise awareness and vital funds for Bowel Cancer UK. We’re excited to see these launches reach consumers and help drive greater awareness of the importance of fibre.”
Genevieve Edwards, chief executive of Bowel Cancer UK, said: “We’re delighted to see the first Bio&Me x Bowel Cancer UK packs launching in stores. Every pack purchased will help fund our work supporting people affected by bowel cancer. Evidence shows that eating more fibre can help reduce the risk of bowel cancer, yet many people in the UK are still not getting enough in their diets. Bowel cancer is the UK’s fourth most common cancer, with someone diagnosed every 11 minutes. Together with Bio&Me, we hope to inspire simple dietary changes that could have a lasting impact on people’s health.”
The champion of making good gut health easy, Bio&Me continues to go from strength-to-strength as one of the UK’s most trusted names in the fast-growing gut health space. The business now spans four categories with its range of gut-loving granolas, overnight oats, fibre + protein bars, and kefir yogurts and drinks, available from leading supermarkets. Having surpassed £22 million in retail sales, up 52% year-on-year, Bio&Me is on track to have its strongest year to date
