McVitie’s launches another all-new take on Jaffa Cakes

pladis, the global snacking company behind some of the UK’s most loved and iconic brands, is further extending its consumer favourite Mc Vitie’s Jaffa range with the launch of McVitie’s Jaffa Cookies – another all-new take on the iconic treat that has divided the nation for decades. Is it a cake? Is it a biscuit? This time, it’s neither. It’s a cookie.
A twist on the much-loved Jaffa Cakes, Jaffa Cookies combine a half-coated, soft-baked chocolate chip cookie with a tangy orangey centre. The result? A cookie that’s unmistakably Jaffa and the latest innovation from McVitie’s keeping biscuit believers on their toes.
“Everyone loves a Jaffa Cake, everyone loves a cookie, and Jaffa Cookies bring together the best of both worlds,” says Russell Smith, marketing manager, pladis UK&I. “It’s the iconic Jaffa flavour people know and love, wrapped up in a soft-baked cookie that’s perfect for those moments when only a cookie will do. Jaffa Cookies (RRP £2.50) are available now in Asda Express stores, ahead of rollout in Asda nationwide from 25 June, and all major grocery retailers from w/c 20 July.
