ChicP joins forces with Booths and Wholefoods to encourage the nation to live more sustainably

ChicP, is spreading positivity as well as hummus, thanks to its latest retail partnerships.
The ethically aware supermarket Booths are now listing two ChicP hummus flavours, Carrot, Ginger & Turmeric, and the Herby. While Wholefoods are also expanding their range of ChicP snacks with the new Veggie Bites to bring its beautiful ethical dips and snacks to a wider audience.
Founded on a passionate commitment to sustainable living, ChicP was created to counteract the colossal amount of food waste we produce every year in the UK. The brain child of former chef and female entrepreneur, Hannah McCollum, every ChicP product is made using imperfect and surplus fruits and vegetables that would otherwise end up on landfill sites.
On average, 40% of British crops are rejected because of their shape or size and UK households produce a staggering seven million tonnes of food waste annually. ChicP utilises these otherwise redundant veggies, in order to have a positive impact on communities and our natural resources.
The ChicP range includes six dip flavours and three falafel-inspired bites, each made from raw, seasonal vegetables that are home grown in the UK.
As well as being stocked online via Ocado and Amazon Fresh, the eco-friendly brand can now be found at Booths, which has 28 stores across the north west of England, and well as at the iconic London-based health food outlet, Wholefoods.
While Booths will be stocking two of ChicP’s most popular hummus flavours, Carrot, Ginger & Turmeric, and the Herby, Wholefoods will be offering its customers the brand’s full range of Veggie Bites, which were designed to perfectly complement the brand’s award-winning dips.
Every ChicP product is completely gluten, sugar, dairy, nut and pesticide-free, and is suitable for vegans and those following a low calorie diet. Delivered in reusable packaging to encourage a zero waste approach, ChicP’s dips and bites also provide a source of plant-based protein and utilise seasonal, British ingredients that might otherwise be overlooked.
So far, McCollum has rescued over 30,000 ‘wonky’ veggies and is now encouraging the nation to do the same. With an entirely ethical ethos, she is inspiring Brits to use up their old fruit and vegetables at home, in order to blend their own unique and healthy dips. Plus, with a wealth of recipes and ideas on her social media channels, Hannah McCollum is motivating Brits to rethink the way they consume.
