New brand JIN JIN launches fermented ‘superdrink’ in the UK

New drink brand JIN JIN has launched its cultured fruit and vegetable drink concentrate as it looks to bring the ancient Asian drink to the UK. Containing probiotics and enzymes from more than 35 raw and natural ingredients, JIN JIN is a fermented drink containing living beneficial bacteria.

Using traditional methods of fermentation, JIN JIN is made from different kinds of fruits, vegetables, mushrooms, and cultures. This ancient process reportedly produces beneficial bacteria, supporting gut health which helps introduce balance to the body’s functions.

Fruit and vegetable-based enzyme drinks are already a popular health trend in Asia, and the European kombucha market was worth nearly £180 million in 2019 and is expected to reach roughly more than £580 million by 2020.

Low in sugar content, JIN JIN is an alternative to sugary soft drinks and is also gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan. Unlike fermented tea-based kombucha ready to drink products, JIN JIN is a cordial, similar in consistency to honey and it is recommended to mix one part (20ml) of the concentrate with 10 parts water (still or sparkling). The drink can also be added to smoothies, or used as a mixer in cocktails.

The company is the brainchild of founder Sohn Supradya Aursudkij, who quit her job in fashion and events to set up the business last year. The idea evolved after she discovered this miraculous fermented drink, which she says has greatly benefited both herself and her partner who suffered physically and emotionally from a busy way of life. Unable to find anything like it in Europe, she decided to bring the drink to the UK.

Aursudkij commented: “We live in a fast-paced world, which sometimes makes us overlook our physical and emotional wellbeing. It has become my mission to share JIN JIN with everyone I can. I truly believe that good wellbeing creates positive energy and makes us feel at our best, and when we are at our best we can achieve anything. I want JIN JIN to be part of peoples’ journey towards better health and can’t wait for people to discover it.”

JIN JIN is currently available online, starting from £25 for 10 x 20ml bottles (10 servings), in 750ml bottles (37.5 servings), or on a subscription basis.
