Bacardi launches new cocktail pods for at-home drinking

Bacardi has announced the launch of TWISTAILS cocktail pods, a solution to make bar-perfect cocktails, transforming the at-home drinking experience and giving cocktail lovers the ability to play the role of professional bartender.

TWISTAILS are available on Amazon in the UK / Germany. To use, customers simply add water and ice to the TWISTAILS shaker, attach the strainer and their cocktail pod of choice and twist. After a shake, a bar-perfect cocktail will be ready in just seconds.

TWISTAILS is launching with three classic BACARDÍ rum cocktails featuring the signature rum Carta Blanca: BACARDÍ Mojito, BACARDÍ Strawberry Daiquiri and BACARDÍ Rum Punch.

The cocktail pods use an innovative dual chamber which delivers a fresh cocktail experience. The pods are filled with BACARDÍ rum and natural flavours, and both the cocktail pods and the packaging are recyclable.

“With more and more people seeking convenience and home entertainment solutions, we asked ourselves how Bacardi could use its expertise as one of the world’s top spirits companies to create a product that would address this gap; and this is how TWISTAILS was born.” says Ankush Manchanda, digital & e-commerce director for Bacardi. “With the launch of TWISTAILS® we wanted to provide a solution that will show people you don’t need an elaborate set-up or countless ingredients to produce bar-quality cocktails at home – it can be as easy as a twist and a shake!”

Bacardi’s starter pack, which includes the TWISTAILS shaker (stainless steel), strainer and six pods (two of each cocktail), will be available at an RRP of £26.99. A replenishment pack of 6 single cocktail pods will also be available to purchase at an RRP of £22.99.

The cocktail pods range from 38.1% – 43.7% Alcohol by Volume depending on the cocktail. Each pack contains 6 pods of 50 ml each. The finished cocktails (120ml) range from 9.5% to 10.9% Alcohol by Volume.
