Yeo Valley Organic launches limited edition RHS British Blackcurrant Yogurt

This Spring, Yeo Valley Organic has partnered with The Royal Horticultural Society to launch a limited-edition garden-inspired yogurt guaranteed to get people excited about a summer of gardening. The Yeo Valley Organic RHS Limited Edition British Blackcurrant Yogurt is available now from Waitrose and Sainsbury’s stores nationwide, RRP £1.70 per 450g pot.

The latest addition to Yeo Valley Organic’s flavourful yogurt selection, the new launch will celebrate the brand’s first organic garden at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower show.  Each pot has been inspired by the best of British produce and specially selected because blackcurrants will feature in the hedgerows of the brand’s show garden and will combine 100% British organic milk with British organic blackcurrants.

Already a popular flavour in the fruity favourites multipack, each blackcurrant in the British Blackcurrant flavour is sourced exclusively from a family-run blackcurrant farm in Herefordshire which has been supplying Yeo Valley Organic for nearly 20 years. Combining the fresh and zingy taste of blackcurrants with Yeo Valley’s creamy organic dairy yogurt make this a delicious treat that can be enjoyed on its own or as a recipe ingredient, topping or dessert.

Yeo Valley says this first time collaboration with the Royal Horticultural Society is sure to be a hit in the run-up to RHS Chelsea Flower Show. The limited-edition pot features Yeo Valley’s artist-in-residence Natasha Clutterbuck’s interpretation of the show garden and offers a colourful fridge essential for lovers of organic dairy and gardening fans.

Yeo Valley Organic announced the launch this month following the news of RHS Chelsea Flower Show moving to 21 – 26 September. Sarah Mead, head of Gardening at Yeo Valley Organic and creator of the Organic Garden commented: “The launch of our British Blackcurrant yogurt is a celebration of organic farming, and we can’t wait for people to try it.

“We’re bringing a slice of our Somerset organic garden to the first autumn edition of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show this September, and this special hedgerow-inspired limited edition seems a fitting way to kick things off.”

Martine Parnell, RHS director of Members, Marketing & Digital, said: “We are really excited to be partnering with Yeo Valley on this special RHS limited edition yoghurt in celebration of The Yeo Valley Organic Garden at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show. With so many people turning to gardening over the last year, we hope gardeners across the country will take advantage of the exclusive RHS membership offer found on the limited-edition yoghurt pots and enjoy the free expert gardening advice, access to RHS Gardens and Shows and free gardening magazine that come with being an RHS member.”

In line with the brand’s sustainability mission to put nature first in everything it does, it is 100% recyclable and made from 100% RPET recycled plastic and card.

To further celebrate the tie up with RHS, Yeo Valley Organic has also combined the new launch with a series of RHS offers. On pack marketing via the brand’s Yeokens initiative will include offering 30% off RHS membership and an opportunity to win one of 50 free RHS Gift memberships.
