Oatly launches Mint Chocolate ice cream flavour

Oatly, the world’s largest oat drink company, has announced the launch of its latest ice cream flavour in the UK.

Bringing a whole new layer of ‘cool’ to the brand’s existing line up of Chocolate Fudge, Strawberry and Salted Caramel, this latest flavour is Mint Chocolate.

With the new offering, according to Oatly, comes a mint that tastes leafy green and remains fresh while its cooling sensation is fused into dark chocolate chunks, as it proudly refuses to resemble anything close to an after-dinner mint, which the brand says was the intention.

Ishen Paran, general manager at Oatly UK says: “The introduction of our new Mint Chocolate ice cream is another instance of us making it easier for people to take the leap to plant-based. We’ve put an Oatly spin on a flavour everyone’s been asking for – and we think it will go down a treat with ice cream lovers.”

Oatly’s Mint Chocolate ice cream is both plant-based and vegan, and available from Sainsbury’s (October), Ocado (October) and Tesco (November) – with an RRP of £4.50.
