Burleighs Gin adds its first flavoured gin to its core rangeLeicestershire distillery, Burleighs Gin, has ventured into the flavoured gin category for the first time, with the launch of its Raspberry Edition Gin.

Available in time for the spring and summer season, the launch is a new departure for the Nanpantan-based business with its core range now totalling eight bottles, with further NPD in the pipeline for 2022.

Produced by steeping Burleighs’ award-winning signature gin recipe in raspberries and peaches – the blush-coloured drink is a fresh and fruity delicate gin, which can be drunk on its own with a tonic, or as a base for cocktails.

Created by head distiller Charlie Hendon on her copper-pot still Messy Bessy, the latest launch is available now through the distillery’s website for £32.50 for 70cl.

Charlie said: “The combination of the raspberries and peaches with the signature Burleighs recipe, creates a long and smooth gin, where the flavours bounce off each other and are distinctive, yet the drink is fresh and light – a quality we know is important for gin lovers in the summer.”

The new addition follows a series of recent launches which includes the National Forest Gin, launched as a partnership with the forestry organisation providing a donation from every bottle sold to the National Forest itself, as well as the delicately mixed ready-to-drink gin and tonics.

Sam Watson, commercial director, added: “We’re extremely excited to add this delicious and authentic pink gin to Burleighs’ core range.

“We hope Burleighs’ lovers will agree the new drink still has the classic and elevated taste we’ve built our reputation on, but with added freshness and a subtle sweetness that’s summer-friendly, lending itself to a range of drinks and cocktails both at home and in the on-trade. It’s one of our most versatile bottles yet.

“Whilst we have our delicious Pink Edition Gin in the range, which is inspired by Japanese cherry blossoms during Hanami, the new Raspberry Edition Gin has a very different flavour and look, with a unique and pretty design on a clear bottle, to help showcase the gin’s inviting colour.”

To serve, Burleighs recommends accompanying 50ml of Raspberry Edition Gin with premium tonic, plenty of ice, fresh or frozen raspberries and a spring of mint.

The Burleighs Raspberry Edition Gin (37.5% ABV in 70cl bottle) is now available through the website for £32.50, with those interested in listing to contact: enquiries@burleighsgin.com
