New Cémoi cocoa and chocolate centre inaugurated

Cémoi has inaugurated its new laboratory dedicated to cocoa at Perpignan. The event took place in the presence of Mamadou Sangafowa Coulibaly, the Minister of Agriculture of Ivory Coast, the first cocoa production area in the world, and René Bidal, the Prefect of the department Pyrenees Orientales.
This new high-tech equipment is part of the innovation strategy of the Group, which plans to raise its Research and Development budget by 50% until
2016.
The independent family group masters the entire cocoa network, from the cultivation of cocoa up to the manufacturing of the chocolate bar. The new 120 m2 laboratory is dedicated entirely to the research of cocoa products (beans, cocoa paste, cake and butter).
