Sial Paris 2026: a global feast for innovators and buyers

With just nine months until its doors open, Sial Paris 2026 is gearing up to deliver an unparalleled experience for visitors in the agri-food sector.
Set for October 17-21 at Paris Nord Villepinte, the world’s largest food trade show promises a dynamic platform for discovering trends, forging business connections, and exploring over 400,000 products from more than 8,000 exhibitors. This biennial event, organised by Comexposium, continues to solidify its role as a must-attend for buyers, distributors, and professionals seeking international opportunities.
For visitors, the appeal lies in its expansive scope and strategic focus on evolving market demands. Already, 260,000 square meters of exhibition space have been booked – a 16% increase over the same period for the 2024 edition – signalling robust participation across key sectors.
High-occupancy areas like savoury and delicatessen, poultry, cold cuts, meat, grains and pulses, and fruits and vegetables are nearing capacity, with waiting lists forming. This means attendees can expect a comprehensive showcase of premium offerings, ideal for sourcing suppliers and spotting innovations.
New exhibitors are flocking to categories such as multi-product grocery, sweet products, frozen foods, and beverages, refreshing the line-up and broadening options for buyers.
“The essence of a successful trade show is to bring visibility, business, and diversity, all at the same time,” said Audrey Ashworth, director of Sial Paris. “At this stage, it’s all systems go, and all the indicators we have point to SIAL Paris 2026 having very positive momentum.”
To enhance the visitor experience, organisers have revamped the layout to align with shifting consumer habits. A dedicated hall for snacking and delicatessen products will streamline navigation, making it easier for attendees to explore on-the-go foods and catering solutions. Additionally, new experiential events centred on bakery goods and pizza will offer interactive demonstrations, tastings, and insights into emerging techniques – perfect for retailers and foodservice operators looking to stay ahead of trends.
As the host nation, France takes centre stage, providing visitors with a deep dive into its regional strengths. The top five represented regions – Île-de-France, Hauts-de-France, Brittany, Pays de la Loire, and Normandy – will feature vibrant pavilions highlighting local innovations. Initiatives like Hauts-de-France’s Food Creativ contest and Île-de-France’s AgroAlia program will facilitate discussions and networking, helping international buyers connect with French producers. Sial Paris is collaborating with key stakeholders, including the Ministry of Agriculture and Business France, to amplify export opportunities through platforms like SIAL for Change.
On a global scale, the event attracts fierce competition from exporting powerhouses like Italy and Spain, enriching the mix for visitors. As part of the Sial Network – spanning 11 events worldwide with 17,000 exhibitors and 700,000 professionals – Sial Paris serves as a gateway to international markets, fostering discussions on autonomy, sustainability, and growth.
For food industry professionals, Sial Paris 2026 offers not just products, but actionable intelligence and partnerships. With its blend of tradition and innovation, the show is poised to drive business in an increasingly competitive landscape.
