Scottish favourite gets high-protein makeover

Simon Howie, Scotland’s best-selling meat brand, has announced a modern evolution of a national breakfast staple with the launch of High Protein Steak Lorne.
This new introduction aims to bridge the gap between traditional Scottish heritage and the growing consumer demand for performance-driven nutrition.
The High Protein Steak Lorne is crafted to provide a substantial protein boost without sacrificing the rich, meaty flavor associated with the classic square sausage.
Product Specifications:
- Protein content: delivers 24g of protein per serving (consisting of two slices).
- Quality ingredients: made with 70% beef and is entirely gluten-free.
- Pack Size: each 270g pack contains four slices, providing two generous portions.
- Versatility: designed for various meal occasions, from a post-workout recovery meal to a traditional morning roll or easy meal prep.
The product officially hits shelves on Monday, 23 March 2026. It will be available exclusively in Tesco stores across Scotland.
