Flavour innovation fuels Pepsi summer push

Carlsberg Britvic is rolling out a trio of new Pepsi Zero Sugar Ice Cream flavours as it looks to harness growing consumer appetite for indulgent, nostalgic soft‑drink profiles and inject fresh momentum into the flavoured‑cola segment.
The launch introduces Cherry & Vanilla, Raspberry Ripple and Salted Caramel, each designed to echo classic ice‑cream parlour tastes while offering a lighter, zero‑sugar twist. The company says the range was developed to meet rising demand for “treat‑like” soft drinks — a trend that has accelerated across convenience and grocery as shoppers seek small, affordable moments of indulgence.
Available from mid‑July, the flavours will roll out in 8‑can multipacks, 500ml bottles (including price‑marked packs) and 330ml singles for selected variants.
Carlsberg Britvic is supporting the launch with a retailer‑facing summer competition through its At Your Convenience platform, offering three £250 experience‑day prizes to encourage engagement and drive visibility during peak seasonal trading.
As the UK’s largest multi‑beverage supplier, the business is positioning flavour innovation as a key lever for category growth. The Ice Cream Trio aims to broaden Pepsi’s appeal, spark impulse purchases and strengthen the brand’s presence in a competitive summer market where flavoured cola continues to outperform traditional formats.
