International cricket superstar Chris Gayle has officially stepped into the brewing industry, partnering with the Powder Monkey Group to launch a brand-new, globally targeted beer range under his world-renowned Universe Boss brand.

The high-profile collaboration marks a major strategic milestone in Powder Monkey Group’s international expansion, launching initially in the UK ahead of planned rollouts across Australia, India, the United States, and Gayle’s home nation of Jamaica and the wider Caribbean.

Bold flavours meets Caribbean heritage

Developed in close collaboration with Gayle and brewed by head brewer Mark Hamblin at Powder Monkey Brewing Co’s historic Hampshire brewery — located in a former Royal Navy gunpowder magazine overlooking Portsmouth Harbour — the initial release features two contrasting styles:

1. Universe Boss Pilsner (5% ABV): A crisp, refreshing German-style lager designed with delicate floral and herbal notes.
2. Universe Boss Rum Infused Stout (6% ABV): A richer, darker brew carrying a distinct rum influence that pays direct homage to Gayle’s vibrant Caribbean roots.
