New printers boost traceability

A new line of coding equipment is set to help food and beverage manufacturers improve traceability and prevent product recalls, according to coding and marking specialist Markem-Imaje.

The company’s new 9400 series of printers provides a range of printing options and a substantial choice of codes, including barcodes, datamatrix and QR codes, as well as the ability to print logos and alphanumeric texts. They also offer a mark and read real time vision system which checks code integrity and prevents product waste and recalls further down the supply chain.

The range also includes an option for editing unique promotional codes that can be used to support marketing campaigns.
Designed to lower the cost of ownership, the series also achieves up to 20 per cent reduction on consumables and energy consumption.
