Fresh bread solution ‘in the bag’

In the continued fight against food waste, Flexico Group is set to launch a packaging solution in the UK that it says will keep bread fresher for longer.

The Cordogrip double drawstring bag is designed with a top and bottom gusset, and is fitted with two strings in colours that can match any brand logo. Pulling the top string in the opposite direction to the bottom string closes the opening. The bag can then be opened by pulling the sides of the bag, above the strings, apart.

“With manufacturers of popular bread products all competing with each other for their share of the market, a product that is available in a highly consumer-friendly format can make the product more appealing and potentially more saleable,” says Paul Francis, of Flexico UK.
