Spotlight on British manufacturing

The PPMA Show 2015 will play host to an extensive seminar programme, with visitors invited to join the likes of Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking, Nestle, PepsiCo and Siemens who will speak about the latest industry trends and issues impacting processing and packaging professionals.

As part of the seminar programme, on Tuesday 29 September from 14:00-14.45, Food & Drink Technology will chair a session – British manufacturing: how are we faring? – exploring the current economic climate in the UK.

British manufacturing is going through a period of profound and irreversible change. In this insightful presentation, speaker Rhys Herbert, senior economist at Lloyds Banking Group, will explore what’s in store for the manufacturing sector, its ambitions, opportunities and challenges, and how the UK economy is shaping up against its competitors.
