FreeFrom Food Awards winners

The winners of the FreeFrom Food Awards 2019 have been announced.

BoojaBooja  – The Wonder Box, won the FAIR trophy for the Best FreeFrom Food 2019

Judges commented: “Amazing selection of unusual and distinctive flavoured truffles – fabulous quality. The toffee strudel, Espresso and Rhubarb are to die for. Lovely creamy texture – I WANT to be given this Wonderbox.”

Runners up include: Bellygoodness Nomato Sauce, Tesco Free From Garlic Chicken Kievs and The Conscientious Cook Vegan Baked Cheesecake.

“The Freefrom category continues to grow and to surprise us each year”,  said Michelle Berriedale-Johnson, director of the awards, “as freefrom manufacturers adventure further and further into the realms of ‘normal’ foods and explore the huge opportunities offered by naturally freefrom foods. Meanwhile, the quality just keeps on getting better.”

Tesco took home Retailer of the Year, followed by Asda in silver, and Marks & Spencer in bronze.
