Made for Drink expands into Waitrose, Sainsbury’s and Cook stores

Gourmet snack provider, Made for Drink, will be expanding into the aisles of 500+ Sainbury’s stores, 300+ Waitrose stores and the entire Cook estate from 1 December 2019.

Founded by Dan Featherstone, Made for Drink finds snacks that are the ideal pairings for the nation’s drinks. Items in the range include Chorizo Thins (ideally paired with a Rioja) and Mangalitza Salami Chips (great with a Pilsner).

The brand’s big retail breakthrough came in summer 2019, when it took part in the Sainsbury’s Future Brands campaign. The resulting sales of Made for Drink’s snacks were so encouraging that the Berkshire snack provider was invited to extend its range to 580 stores. Made For Drink’s snacks will launch nationwide in the Beer, Wine & Spirits aisle.

Dan Featherstone said: ‘”Over the past three years we’ve built Made For Drink in pubs, hotels & speciality retail. We love the idea that people can discover our products in places like The Fat Duck Group, Fortnum & Mason or down the pub with their best friends. Our retail distribution now allows us to make our snacks accessible to millions of people as part of their everyday lives. To see these partnerships come to life is an amazing moment in our business journey.”
