Interfood launches packing solutions division
Interfood Technology has announced that it’s extending its capabilities in meat and food processing with the formation of a division dedicated to packing solutions.
Interfood says that as its business has developed, so too has the need to specialise in specific areas. In 2008, it set up a series of divisions offering specific capabilities and dedicated teams of engineers and support personnel. Packing solutions is the latest addition.
“We have added divisions over the years as part of a ‘total processing’ philosophy, allowing us to maintain a clear focus on specific processes and products,” explains Jim Sydenham, joint MD of Interfood. “As there has been a natural evolution of the business, so we have added new manufacturers to our portfolio. Our customers are increasingly looking for automated solutions to their end of line processes and this was not an area in which we were actively involved. Now we have addressed this with the setting up of the new division.”
The new division offers equipment from Buhmann, a German-based manufacturer dedicated specifically to end of line solutions, and Sparc Systems, with its precision weighing technology.
The range offered will include checkweighing, metal detection, weigh grading, multi-lane weighing, converging, automatic product stacking and automatic case packing and closing.
