Clearly Drinks toasts to new business wins for 2022

UK soft drinks manufacturer, Clearly Drinks, is celebrating a host of new supermarket listings, major client wins, and its best quarter to date, as the business continues to grow nationally.

A notable milestone for the business, Clearly Drinks’ adult soft drink brand, Upstream, has secured a new listing with supermarket, Asda, with stores nationwide now stocking two SKUs – Strawberry & Lychee and the new Dragonfruit & Berry.

Inspired by the consumer shift towards healthier, low-calorie alternatives to standard sugary soft drinks and mixers, Upstream provides a taste adventure for health-conscious consumers whilst containing zero sugar and less than five calories per can with four flavour combinations.

Clearly Drinks has also landed five new national client wins, including Britvic, as well as with soft drinks leaders, Carabao. The business has also secured a contract with Booker Isotonic for two of its classic SKUs. The agility and best in class customer service has attracted new business following a multi-million investment in a new canning line and upgrades to the PET lines at its manufacturing site in the North East.

The developments come as Clearly Drinks announces it has had its best quarter to date, with Q1 2022 outperforming growth and revenue in 2021 by 23%.

Mick Howard, chief executive of Clearly Drinks said: “Despite a difficult few years within the manufacturing sector, our new brand listing with Asda and new client wins are a testament to the hard work of the team and our award-winning offering. It’s brilliant to see one of our own brands enjoying continued success, adding to our existing listings in Sainsbury’s and Morrisons, especially as the adult soft drinks market continues to soar.

“We are also incredibly proud of our industry-leading canning facility, so it’s great to see the trust national brands have in us. We can’t wait to see what the future has in store for Clearly Drinks for the rest of 2022 and beyond.”
