FAM STUMABO boosts EU presence with strategic hubs in Spain and Germany

Mark Van Hemelrijk, CEO of FAM STUMABO.
FAM STUMABO is significantly strengthening its European operational footprint to provide enhanced local service, technical innovation, and customer proximity across key markets.
The expansion, which includes new, purpose-built facilities in Spain and a major upgrade in Germany, is part of the company’s long-term strategy to pair global expertise with localised support for food processors.
The new European hubs are designed to be full-service centres, integrating commercial, technical, and logistical support under one roof. Each site is equipped with dedicated test labs and showrooms, allowing processors of cheese, meat, poultry, potatoes, and vegetables to test equipment directly on their specific products, ensuring tailored and optimised cutting solutions.
In Spain, FAM STUMABO has inaugurated a modern 1,000 m2 facility in Paterna, near Valencia. This move is a strategic investment that reinforces the company’s two-decade-long presence in the Iberian Peninsula and targets future growth in the Spanish and Portuguese markets.
The site features dedicated space for in-house testing, warehousing, and a showroom, allowing customers to explore and validate the latest cutting technology hands-on. By housing a local inventory of high-demand spare parts, the facility is set up to guarantee rapid, reliable delivery and maximise equipment uptime for processors in the region.
Simultaneously, FAM STUMABO Deutschland has relocated to a larger, strategically upgraded site in Niederzissen, Germany. This move is explicitly designed to support future growth and improve service agility across the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland). The new facility offers expanded capacity for machine servicing and technical assistance, ensuring local teams can deliver prompt, in-language support backed by comprehensive global technical resources.
Mark Van Hemelrijk, CEO of FAM STUMABO, commented on the European focus: “Our ongoing expansion is part of our long-term strategy to combine global expertise with a strong local presence. By bringing our teams, test labs, and technical support close to our customers, we can better anticipate their needs, respond faster, and enable them to stay ahead in a competitive market.”
