Fortifi Food Processing Solutions  has announced the completion of its acquisition of Provisur Technologies in a merger enabling the company to offer complete, integrated solutions across the entire protein processing value chain.

Massimo Bizzi, chief executive officer of Fortifi, hailed the deal as a “transformative new chapter” for the organisation.

“With Provisur’s complementary technologies, we now offer complete protein processing capabilities, from primary through further processing lines,” Bizzi stated. “Together, our shared strengths solidify our global leadership, create new opportunities for innovation and drive continued growth.”

The acquisition significantly expands Fortifi’s downstream capabilities, integrating Provisur’s advanced solutions for critical processes including grinding, forming, slicing, and tumbling protein.

Provisur’s established and trusted family of brands — including AM2C, Beehive, Cashin, Formax, Hoegger, Lutetia, and Weiler — will now operate under the Fortifi umbrella, broadening the combined entity’s ability to deliver continuous performance improvements globally.

Josh Weisenbeck, partner at KKR and Fortifi board member, underscored the strategic rationale behind the deal, noting that Provisur’s expertise will enhance customer proximity.

“Provisur represents another important step forward in building Fortifi into a diversified, global leader in food processing automation,” Weisenbeck said. “By bringing Fortifi closer to its customers through Provisur’s expertise in further processing and strong aftermarket capabilities, we’re strengthening the platform’s ability to deliver greater efficiency, reliability, and sustainability across the global food production value chain.”

A key component of the strategic partnership is the substantial deepening of Fortifi’s aftermarket capabilities. Provisur’s existing support network and large installed base enhance customer access to parts, service, and technical expertise via an expanded network of service technicians. This improved support aims to reduce customer factory downtime and extend the lifespan of critical equipment.

Brian Perkins, president of Provisur Technologies, expressed optimism about the new alliance.

“As we join Fortifi, we gain the strength and stability of a larger organization—one that empowers us to grow our business and amplify customer impact,” Perkins said. “Together, we can accelerate growth, reach new customers in new markets, and introduce Fortifi’s market-leading solutions to the customers who already place their trust in Provisur.”

In a move focused on employee engagement, all Provisur employees will join Fortifi’s broad-based ownership program, providing them with the opportunity to participate directly in the benefits of equity ownership.
