Seeds of success for EHL

Following a 20 per cent increase in sales in December last year, ingredients supplier EHL has announced that it’s planning further growth and company expansion, including a recruitment drive, product development and investment in new machinery at its head office in Stockport, Cheshire, UK.

The supplier of conventional and organic ingredients to the UK food industry says product plans for 2012 include additional allergen-free spices and seasonings, Mexican chillies and a new range of heat-treated lo-micro herbs and spices.

The team is also looking to develop and launch new blends such as biryani spice and creole spice.

“We are very encouraged by the December sales report and are confident about our progress as a business. We are starting off 2012 on a positive note and we are aiming to increase sales this year by a further 20 per cent, taking our annual turnover to an all-time high of £5 million (€6m),” says sales director Tasneem Backhouse (pictured with the senior management team).
