Indulgent sharing mousse

Lactalis Nestlé, the UK fresh dairy products venture, has launched Aero Heavenly – a mousse in a large, shareable pot, with hopes to innovate and boost the chilled desserts category.

Last year, the largest contributor to chocolate NPD was seasonal launches, accounting for 25 per cent. More than one quarter of those seasonal launches (28 per cent) were positioned for Easter, highlighting the popularity of chocolate eggs and bunnies – I certainly indulged in some Easter chocolate over the weekend, and I’m sure many of you did the same.

Coatings and fillings

Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate has launched new additions to its coatings and fillings range, each responding to a trend identified in the company’s recently issued trends report, namely: healthy, sustainable and clean and indulgent.
