Automation specialist showcases solutions

At last month’s PPMA show, industrial automation specialist Omron showcased vision systems which aid product traceability and help fight counterfeiting, alongside delta robots that can be easily integrated into automation systems.

The company’s latest FH vision system is described as ideal for tracing products through every step of the supply chain and is therefore invaluable in helping manufacturers meet the requirements of legislative measures that include the Food Safety Modernisation Act and the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).

Also on show was Omron’s new Delta pick and place robot. With the launch of a new IP69K compliant robot for washdown environments, the system is suitable for direct contact food processing operations.
