Givaudan appoints new president of flavour division

Flavours and fragrances business Givaudan has appointed Louie D’Amico as president of its flavour division.

D’Amico will succeed Mauricio Graber who will leave the company to become chief executive officer at Chr Hansen after 23 years with the business.

D’Amico, currently head of flavours Americas, will work closely with Mauricio Graber to ensure a smooth transition over the coming months. The changes will take effect on 1 April.

Givaudan CEO Gilles Andrier says, “On behalf of Givaudan’s leadership team, I would like to thank Mauricio Graber for his significant contribution in driving the successful development and expansion of our flavours business.”

He adds, “Louie D’Amico brings a true passion for customers, a deep understanding of consumer trends and markets, as well as strong people management skills to this role. He will continue to expand our global market leadership and evolve our flavour solutions to the needs of a fast changing food and beverage market.”

Having joined Givaudan in 1989 as a key account manager with Tastemaker, D’Amico has held various senior leadership positions as head of the North America sweet goods business unit and later the North America savoury business unit.
